My Favorite Mugs
I think if you have over 30 of something then it's officially a collection. Not sure when it started for me but I've found myself finding, buying, making, and getting mugs over the years and I love all of them. After reading Cassey's post, I thought I'd also share some of my favorite mugs too.
This post is my attempt at something a little interactive. You can click on the mugs above to see more about them or just read about all of them now.
It's silly but I like to make replicas of small things from movies or TV. This one is from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010). This mug only shows up for a few seconds but I really liked it so I found a version of the original sketch which I then edited to try to color match as best as I could and got it printed somewhere. I use this one a lot and I keep the files just in case something happens to it and I need to reprint it.
This one is harder to use because of its shape but I love it because it was something my wife got for me. It's the logo of a brand of a very sugary soft drink called Goombay which she grew up drinking. She got me some to try and it was very delicious and it's a good thing we can't get it here otherwise I'd drink nothing else.
I try to be careful with this one. It has a few cracks inside which then got coffee/tea stained. I should've taken a picture of the other side too, it's a green hippogriff. I'm not really sure where I got this but its the perfect size for hot or cold drinks.
This one seemed close in size to the unicorn mug but honestly, it's a Star Wars mug. I won't get into it now but Star Wars Ep I: The Phantom Menace is very special to me.
This one was my work mug for a long time. I stopped by a Caribou Coffee before work one day and it immediately called to me. I love raccoons and the colors were perfect.
